Costs and process for a TAK project
TAK projects vary a lot. Some start with one server and a few devices, others run for several years and cover entire organizations. Costs range from a few thousand euros into six figures. In the free initial consultation, we give you a range for your project.

Two ways to run the server
After setup and training, you decide who runs the server.
Recommended
Handover to your administrators
We set up the complete infrastructure on your own servers or with a hosting provider in Germany and train your administrators. Then we hand over the keys, and your team runs the system on its own.
Servers, data and access stay in your hands. You don’t depend on any outside company, including us. This is possible because ATAK and TAK Server don’t belong to a commercial vendor.
Operation by TAK Hub
We host the server in a data center in Germany and run it for you, under a data processing agreement. A service level agreement covers updates, monitoring, setting up new users and a dedicated contact person. We agree on scope and terms with you.

You describe your organization, operations and number of users. We give you a first cost range. The consultation is free.
Concept
Together we define server, operating model, devices, radio and the scope of training.
Written quote
Every service is listed as a separate item, with a binding price.
Setup and handover
We set up the server and devices, train your people and hand the system over to your administrators. Or we run it for you.
Procurement and tendering
We give purchasing, IT and data protection the documents they need for the procurement process.

Are the amounts binding?
No, they are indicative prices, plus VAT. We confirm the binding price in a written quote after the initial consultation.
Do we have to host the server with you?
No. We recommend that your team runs the server itself, on your own infrastructure or with a hosting provider in Germany. We set it up, train your administrators and hand it over. If you would rather not deal with operations, we take them over.
Are there monthly license or seat fees?
No. You pay no license per user or device for ATAK-CIV, iTAK, WinTAK or TAK Server, and we don’t rent out seats on our servers. The only ongoing costs are your own infrastructure or, if we run the server, the service level agreement.
Does ATAK itself cost anything?
No. ATAK-CIV, iTAK, WinTAK and the TAK Server software are freely available. You pay for our work: setup, training, integration and, if you want, operation.
Are devices included?
New smartphones, tablets or radios appear as separate items in the quote. The price depends on model and quantity. We also set up the devices you already have. View the devices
Can we start small?
Yes. A server and a few devices are enough to get started. Radio, video and plugins can be added later.
